From April 7th-11th I had the chance to go to Disneyland with three of my best friends. We had the most magical trip! Kari is from Seattle, Michaela is from Illinois, and Nicole is from Florida, and we were all able to meet together in Anaheim for a trip we will never, ever forget!

The night we arrived, even though it was late, we went to the park and did as much as we could! Our first attractions were Thunder, Pirates, Matterhorn, and Indiana Jones. We watched Disneyland Forever (where Michaela fell in love) and also Paint the Night (which got sped up like crazy because of the rain). It was the perfect way to start off our weekend!

DCA was our park of choice for this lovely, cool morning! The overcast weather presented the perfect opportunity to take some photos in front of Grizzly Peak and Mickey’s Fun Wheel.
We got margaritas on the wharf (it was 5 o’clock somewhere, right?) and also bread bowls for lunch. It was the perfect way to warm us up on a chilly day.
Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde from Disney’s newest movie Zootopia were meeting in Hollywoodland so that was a must do! It’s always so fun to meet new characters for the first time!
After taking pictures, eating, and meeting characters, we hopped back over to Disneyland! (who needs rides anyway??) Adventureland was the intended destination. This afternoon, Skipper Kelly and Skipper Marc were hosting Skipper School! They performed a dry land Jungle Cruise and did a phenomenal job. I got to be the lion watching over the sleeping zebra and Kari got to be the rhino!
From there, we met Belle in Fantasyland, visited Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, went on the Matterhorn, as well as Pinnochio’s Daring Journey. We trekked to Tomorrowland, got a Darth by Chocolate from Pizza Port, and fulfilled everyone’s Star Wars obsession by watching the Path of the Jedi.
Then before dinner, there was just enough time to squeeze in It’s a Small World, Roger Rabbit’s Cartoon Spin, and the Haunted Mansion.
We impulsively made a reservation for Blue Bayou the day before and it was a spectacular meal to say the least. Without even asking, they gave us a water side table. There was a little kid on Pirates of the Caribbean who yelled to everyone at Bayou, “hey there! Does anyone have some extra guacamole?!?” As I stared at my gumbo, I realized he was passing the wrong restaurant.
After dinner, we ran to catch Disneyland Forever again. Our night ended in Fantasyland with Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Snow White’s Scary Adventures, and the carousel! It was the perfect Disneyland experience. And that was only day 1!
