Universal Studios Hollywood

I moved out of school on May 6th and flew to Anaheim to begin: 1. Summer vacation 2. The first portion of my birthday trip and 3. Day 1 of 57 straight days of travel! I was so excited.

Sara picked me up from the airport and we got to spend the day getting tacos, relaxing at her place, and going to the mall.

On May 7th, Chris, Austin, and I went to Universal Studios Hollywood! We left bright and early and somehow got there by 8 am. I was so impressed.

We went straight to Forbidden Journey and the main difference between the attraction here and in Florida is that here it’s in 3-D! I just watched the Harry Potter movies for the first time ever this past February and March, so going through the queue and experiencing Forbidden Journey was like a whole new experience! I absolutely adored it!

I was proudly representing Gryffindor and when we met the conductor, he asked why I was not in class! I felt so guilty… but then we realized it was Saturday so I was off the hook.

Also, would it really be a trip to the Wizarding World without grabbing some butter beer?

We headed down four escalators to the other portion of the park where we rode Transformers and The Mummy. (twice) When we headed back up, we got the big pink donut which is my top favorite snack from Universal. And trust me – it is just as delicious as it looks!

The Simpson’s ride was next, and then Mark came to meet up with us! We went on the Studio Tour and grabbed some lunch! Then we explored the Wizarding World one last time and rode Jurassic Park!

It didn’t take us very long to get through every attraction in the park, but we had a blast at Universal Studios Hollywood! It was the perfect way to kick off my birthday weekend!

We had one last stop to make before heading back home – Sprinkles Cupcakes! Thanks to Sprinkles Perks, they sent me a coupon for a free birthday cupcake. What a wonderful way to finish up 22!
