Showing Iz Around Buffalo!

Iz and I had quite the busy month in October because two weeks after going to Canada we flew up to Buffalo! It is very rare that I can find friends to come visit my hometown with me, so I was very excited to show her around!

On our first full day, we went up to Niagara Falls! This is a must do for all of my out-of-town friends because how often are you this close to one of the biggest and most beautiful waterfalls in the world? It was freezing, rainy, and windy but we went on the Maid of the Mist boat so we could get the full experience. It was gorgeous and absolutely worth it!

The second day of our Buffalo trip we went to a town called Ellicottville! This was the place to be to see gorgeous fall colors. The hour drive, alone, held some of the most stunning views of vibrant red, orange, and yellow leaves I have ever seen! Aside from the sights, the town had so many quaint shops and restaurants that we wandered through as well.

Our last day in Buffalo consisted of us going to the Cider Mill for some fall treats! We got apple cider donuts and apple cider slushies to taste while we were there. Visiting the Cider Mill, in my mind, is categorized as the epitome of fall!

Then we stopped in a little town called East Aurora and went to Vidler’s which is a cute five and dime store. It holds some of the most fun and unique trinkets!

Lastly, our project that we worked on all weekend was painting pumpkins! I did a set of Aladdin, Jasmine, and Genie pumpkins and I was so thrilled with how they came out.

Penny was so excited to have some visitors. She was already growing so much – I couldn’t bear to think about how big she would be by my next visit!

So that was our trip home to Buffalo! Showing Iz around my hometown was such a blast and I am so happy we got to go during such a wonderful time of the year!
