Food, Characters, and Americana!

Saturday December 3rd, 2016

On the second full day of my trip, Sara, Daniel, and I went to California Adventure in the morning! The first thing we did when we walked in the park? Met a sassy Country Bear, of course!

We wanted to try some of the Festival of Holidays foods so that was our next priority! The options we opted for were the macaroni and cheese, meatballs, and yule log! They were a few dollars more than what I am used to at Food & Wine, but I’m glad I got to try them out. They were all very delicious!

From there, we walked a loop of Paradise Pier and had a little photoshoot!

I was also a huge fan of this bear wearing his Christmas sweater in Grizzly Peak and made sure to take a picture with him while I was wearing my bear shirt from @2319threads!

When Daniel went to work, we went over to Disneyland to see the 2:30 pm Tangled show! It was hilarious – the audience was really into it and the performers were spot on! Not only that, but they made a “backside of water” joke during the show so you know I was happy!

We even ran into Aladdin which was such a wonderful surprise! He and I chatted about where we thought Abu was, but we decided he must be ‘monkeying’ around in the Jungle Cruise! Makes sense to me!

After grabbing some lunch and Starbucks, we went back over to DCA to watch Turtle Talk with Crush. Then before heading out we had the chance to meet Minnie and Mickey in their cute Buena Vista Street Christmas outfits!

We left the park and went to the McDonald’s across the street where my friend Ryan was waiting to pick me up! We were so excited to be reunited!! He and I drove to The Americana to walk around and see all of the beautiful Christmas decorations! The fountains and twinkling lights were so picturesque – I’m so glad I got to go here! We even got to stop in Sephora and the Disney Baby Store which was an extra plus.

That night we went out to dinner at a very pretty Mexican restaurant, but my appetite was non-existent for some reason so I could only eat one taco! 😦 However, we finished off the night making detailed excel spreadsheet for our day in Disneyland! I was so excited for Ryan and my park day coming up next!
