24th Birthday at Disneyland!

If you’ve been following me for any amount of time, it will come as no surprise to you that part 2 of my birthday celebrations took place at my favorite place in the whole world – Disneyland! This was such a special trip not only was it my birthday, but it was Erika’s first time ever at Disneyland!

May 7th, 2017

We drove back from Vegas with Ryan, arrived in Anaheim, ate some Pizza Press (at their new location!) checked in to the Disneyland Hotel, and then went straight to the parks. It was already dark out so we watched “Remember, Dreams Come True” and went on a few attractions. Then we pushed through and stayed until midnight so I could turn 24 right in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect way to start off the year!

On my actual Birthday, we woke up bright and early and went straight to California Adventure. We rode all of the attractions in Cars Land and went on Mickey’s Fun Wheel {of death}. What a way to begin!

After making our way over to Disneyland, we explored the Mark Twain! Tiana and Dr. Facillier were meeting right on the first floor! One of the Mark Twain cast members, Captain Miguel, was even kind enough to take us up to the wheelhouse of the boat. That was my first time ever going up there – it had always been on my Disneyland Bucket List. It provided us the most stunning view of the park!

We left for a bit so I could say a quick hello to my old DCP home, Carnegie Plaza, as well as get some birthday tacos from Cervantes aka the best birthday lunch of all time!

We made our way back to the park to see Magical Map, Soundsational, and to grab my 5th annual birthday dole whip!

For dinner we went to Goofy’s Kitchen. Chip made our meal particularly special and gave us so much love and attention. I also got more desserts than anyone probably needs to eat in their entire lifetime. What a birthday!!

On our last day in Disneyland we went straight to the park early in the morning.

Jungle Cruise was calling our names! (but what else is new?) We got to go on Skipper Arvin and Skipper Richard’s botes – talk about some high quality Adventureland entertainment! I am so happy that there are still a few skippers at Jungle Cruise that I still know from my DCP in 2014… seeing them always makes me feel right at home!

We spent the majority of our day cramming in all of Disneyland’s best! Erika had to do and see it all on her first trip – which includes tons of rides, shows, and churros!

We stopped by the Animation Building to say hello to the beautiful Princess Anna, which was a huge highlight of my day!

Then we finished off our trip perfectly – Erika was happy because we got to watch the Electrical Parade. I was happy because I got a Jolly Holiday grilled cheese.

This trip was the perfect way to ring in 24! I wanted to give a major thanks to Erika for coming with me on this trip – I am so happy I got to show her around my second home! This was a trip I will never forget and it was such a beautiful transition into a very eventful year!
