June rolled around and all of the sudden the first portion of our internship was complete! To celebrate our friendships and big accomplishments, Erika, Liz, Angela and I took a big trip to Nashville, Tennessee aka Erika’s college town! It was my first time there so I was beyond excited to explore such an amazing and well-known city!
Here are some of the biggest highlights from our trip to Nashville!

The road trip from Orlando was about 10 hours and we drove over night! (Shoutout to Erika for being a champion and driving the entire way there) We got our necessary Dairy Queen blizzards as a reward for surviving the trip. We started off by going to Percy Priest and taking photos by the water while waiting to pick up Angela from the airport.

For breakfast we went to a restaurant named “Phunky Griddle” where you get to make your own food right at the table. We made pancakes, scrambled eggs, hash browns and bacon! It was a blast!
Then we explored the surrounding area and got to take photos with the most incredible aesthetic walls I have ever laid my eyes on! They were right by the House of Blues. My heart was so happy.
Erika used to work at the Escape Game back when she lived here, so we went by to visit and ended up doing a game ourselves! It was my first one ever and it was SO FUN! If you have never done an Escape Game I highly recommend it. We did Prison Break and it was pretty tricky, but we successfully escaped!
Then we went to The Parthenon to walk around and take some beautiful photos!

When we initially booked our trip to Nashville we didn’t even realize that CMA fest was going to be happening while we were there. However, it ended up being a huge highlight of our visit! We got to see Old Dominion and Chase Rice perform at the Riverfront Stage.
We also got to see one of Erika’s friends Lacy Cavalier perform on the Radio Disney stage! She’s an up and coming artist and EXTREMELY talented – go check her out y’all! She’s absolutely incredible and such an amazing person.
We also walked over to the Pedestrian Bridge and saw a gorgeous view of Nashville. The city was so alive because of the festival and we were loving the energy!
Liz had a huge moment and she got to meet one of her favorite country artists, John Rich, while walking down the street. Only in Nashville!
Then we got to finish off the day by hanging out in the streets where they were streaming the Stanley Cup! The Preds were playing so that just added to another layer of excitement!
Stay tuned for the next post – this was only the first half of our trip! We have plenty more Nashville adventures where that came from!
